  • bayreuth, and you say he is talking nonsense because you are a scholar of Islam yourself, and have come to a definitive conclusion otherwise based upon your dalil from the nass you have amassed yourself, as a counter claim I see?

  • MarshaAllah, this has provided a lot of clarity for me. JazakAllahu Khair

  • wa Jazaak Globalfaction,

But I must say sorry, what type of clarity? I don't get it?

I just had a look at your channel, and saw your clips, and was stupefied by what I saw, after reading your comment :S

  • All music is haram. Allah says: And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allâh without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allâh, or the Verses of the Qur'ân) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire).[Qur'an 31: 6]

Abdullah ibn Masoud [the Companion of the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him] said: I swear by Allah the word 'lahw' in this verse refers to music.

  • jazakAllah Shaykh -inshallah m slowly getting rid of the music system from my head--almost there--inshallah--i can beat it inshallah

  • Haq true may Allah bless the shaykh beautifuls said...

  • Music isnt allowed and singing isnt. Only in a walima (maybe other occasions, such as returning from jihad), a daff can be used by girls and they can sing

  • @iArsalan Yes, I agree with you, but not all music is baraka.

  • Sh Nuh Ha Mim Keller is talking nonsense. I think we can all agree that modern popular music is 'haram'; but please tell me why I shouldn't listen to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Johann Sebastian Bach or Ludwig Van Beethoven? This music is spiritually uplifting and many people have come to believe in God because of the music of these composers. Sir Georg Solti, for instance, came to believe in God because of Mozart's music...

  • Scholars like this would see the oblitheration of human culture and distinction and call it peace. Even as you listen to him speak, there are no deep insights, no warmth or joy in his voice, just a sad husk of a man, a robot, who repeats legalism and dogma.

My ancestors were Muslim and they used music to preserve our religion and our culture inspite of Slavery. A slavery brought on by the collusion of Europeans and Arabs "Muslims" who called African Muslims, kafir.

For me, music is a baraka.

  • @IsaKocoglu

No need to criticize. He thanked you for helping him see something clearer.

    Peace be with you.

  • @bayreuth79, btw all these points about imam ghazali are explained in better detail in that video i sent you, plz watch it, and then let me know what you think. it is part 2 where imam ghazali is mentioned. it appears he has been misquoted and he never allowed music.
