Many parking tickets are a scam. I got a ticket for parking in my school lot even though i had a valid permit. The ticket said "permit not visible" although it clearly was. I had to take it to court just to get the ticket voided. I didnt end up having to pay it but it was extremely inconvenient to go to court

They pegged you for parking in a bike trail. Try getting a ticket for a missing front license plate. It happened while I was filing documents at the courthouse in San Bernardino, CA which is a hot spot for them, in order to generate money to for city. I got off!
The judge said he needed to think about it, and 2 days later I got a notice of "Not Responsible". It's not the $60 bucks, it's the principle. The defeat over the law was very gratifying...Cop was mad cool, I talked to him after court and thanked him for keeping the kids safe, he was a nice guy.
