At my school, the University of Colorado, one of our most hated opponents is our in-state rival Colorado State...every year we play them in a hotly contested game known as the "Rocky Mountain Showdown"...in 2005, the game was played in Boulder, and with the score tied at 28 with 4 seconds left, our kicker, Mason Crosby, took to the field to kick a 47 yard field goal that would win the game...did Mason pull a Scott Norwood and blow it? Watch to find out...the upload compressor blurred it more than I would have liked, but its still good for gauging crowd reaction ;)

  • Let's hope his college #s weren't inflated by that thin Colorado air. Lambeau is a whole different ball game.

  • Nope, Crosby holds the NCAA record for longest sea-level field goal w/o a tee...58 yards @ Miami, September 2005

  • you didnt read the conditions of the field goal noted below...

  • i want the cowboys to pick him

  • I hope not...Im an Eagles fan, and while I know we probably wont pick him, a worst case scenario is him going any other NFC East team...

  • @frofro73 CU underdogs to CSU is that a joke?

  • This is why I love this sport called college football moments like this...When the underdog team wins. Love this sport.

  • Nice video!! If you want to see an awsome video showing 109,000 Vol fans going insane check out

2004 Tennessee vs Florida, We had missed the extra point to tie the game so the Vols were losing by one point, we eventually get the ball back and with 11 seconds our kicker James Wilhoit kicks a 50 yrd field goal it was pandemonium!! Go Vols!!

  • Abilene Texas is just about 900feet in elevation that is just about as close to sea level as you gonna get unless your in Houston and he did not use a tee.

  • Oh yea sorry He Played for Abilene Christian University.

  • Then I am a happy Cheehead!! lol
