Maharajapuram Santhanam's rendition of the Thyagaraja keerthana - Nannu Vidachi Kadalakura. He sung it so well, wish I had all charanas instead of just the last one (in this clip).

  • Learning the words is different from being able to pronunciate.

  • @rarunadri

as far as musicians i don't any difference in pronunciation of any language.

  • @sreevatsakota

    you are right!

  • ரீதிகௌளை!

  • how the melodious rendering soothes the nerves excellent

  • A true ''Maharaja'' of Carnatic music.

  • Excellent..excellent and excellent..<3

  • Thanks for the wonderful upload, just amazing

  • Some people take offense if anyone says he/she did not like the rendering. Why so touchy? If you like some musician, don't expect everyone to like him/her. Of course, the person had a choice not to leave a negative comment, but if he/she did leave one, then there is no point in attacking that person - it shows immaturity on your part. Having said that, when a musician sings a song of different language, he/she is expected to learn the words otherwise it is doing a disservice to the lyricist.

  • I wish that I could compose and sing something like this !...i think by this point thyagaraja would have given up everything just for beloved Rama !

    too good bhakthi and prema!
