Notes: In part 1, I said that the coil where the garter weaves in and out is for the heaters, no. I was wrong. They're actually what holds the seat up while keeping it springy and cushy. It's the bottom of cushion/springs, not heater coils.
In part 4, I said that an old car charger for your phone wont work because of the thin wires, it's actually not true. I'm not sure if I corrected myself in the video but the reason why it won't work is because of the charger's internals. There's a small board in there that regulates the 12v and x amount of amps into whatever volts and 1 or 0.5 amps that way your phone's battery won't get cooked.
This instructional/walk-through video was done as I installed the DVD headrests for the first time. It took me approximately 4-5 hours due to distractions, walking back and forth to the house to get things, filming the video, and finding different ways to do things neatly. The only "mess" in this whole install are the electrical tape residue which I cleaned afterwards.
Hopefully, you can learn from my mistakes (all the trial and error I went through) and do yours in half the time. It's definitely possible.
This video might also help you out even if you drive a different vehicle or have a different DVD headrest system. Aside from the finer details, the concept should be similar.
If you choose to solder wires, be very careful not to burn the plastics, carpet, and/or leather/cloth in your vehicle. My method required minimum tools which consisted of the following:
-wire cutter
-long nose pliers
-electrical tape
-wire coat hanger
-zip ties
The only materials you'll need (not found in the packaging) can be found inside your house.
Thanks to gs3tek for his writeup in the Toyota forums. I read and studied his post over and over until I could play out the installation in my head --way before I bought the headrests. Also, the watermark is smack in the middle so that vendors who sell this headrest can't claim it as their own by cropping/panning frames or blurring watermarks in the corners. I apologize if it's distracting.
sorry for insulting you my friend. I just irritates me when people dont use there head just a little bit more. I snaked it backwards, the headrest has 2 ends correct. One end has fm anntenna cable/green and a power cable/female end ....I believe. You pull in inlet out from the seat. The plastic part that it goes in. That comes out then you just slip it in, there isnt as much compression when it out. Then you just slide it back in. I guess i have to make a video to explain better.

@GLUVSR4EVER Apology accepted and I didn't mean to insult you either. I already tried snaking it backwards. If you watched the video, I tried everything I could to not have to splice or cut. The width of the connected on one end is EXACTLY the same thickness as the hole. When I said exact, I even showed it in the video, the width of the connector goes in the hole with NO ROOM TO SPARE. So how could I snake it backwards if there isn't even any room for my snake? Just watch the video again.

dude your an idiot, im sorry but you dont have to cut anything or splice any wires. You just ruined your cords. I wired the same set in my 2009 sienna.

@GLUVSR4EVER How did you snake the cable through the seat with that big fuse box on one end and that big S-Video-like connector on the other? And did you see me "ruin" anything in the video? Please think before you speak. I understand that this is the internet, and that especially on YouTube everybody is a genius and a tough guy, but the least you could have done was explain how you did it. Otherwise anyone who watches the video and sees the actual cable will know that the moron is you.
