A fake trailer for a film adaptation of Philip K Dick's The Man in the High Castle. Done as part of a presentation for Business of Producing class at Stern.

Footage is from newsreels, clips from Fatherland (1994), Gattaca (1999), The Children of Huang Shi (2008). Music is Hans Zimmer's theme for Assassin's Creed.

  • as in the description, its a fake trailer we made for a class.

  • And who to play Nathaniel Hawthorne in this movie ?

  • Do you mean Hawthorne Abendsen? Our pitch for class had modified and merged some of the characters for the adaptation - Ethan Hawke would be playing the author character.

  • Their favorite medium of clever information(not knowledge, of that they have no access to, for obvious reasons) Fox "news", Australian citizen Murdoch and the Wallstreet Journal.

  • Business of Producing class at Stern...clever and useful village idiots.

  • Technocrats, lawyers and Big Business(Industry, chemical and "eugenics"...psychiatry) were the main money and power behind this...they of course had their compliant one sided education merchant type supporters...they saw the rea$on in it all, because they are ever so clever.

  • Who is the man looking down on you all, The Man in the High Castle? Me

  • Television broadcasting in The Third Reich TV Station Paul Nipkow 1935-1944

  • So who are the village idiots exactly? ROFL!!!

  • well done man thought might have a Phillip k dick movie that is done well. to bad its not real the books great, would make a good movie

  • This sounds like the song they used in the 2001 movie "Pearl Harbor," when the Japanese pilots were getting ready and taking off from their carrier.

  • Twelve years ago, when I read the book, I would've said Brad Pitt for Joe, Jodie Foster for Juliana (but Rhada Mitchell is a great choice too), Mako for Tagomi, Nicolas Cage for Frank Frink, Robert Redford for Baynes, and so on... But Abendsen, I don't know, that's a good one.
