@music4linux Is it better than Ubuntu Studio. I'm planning to start music with Linux. Wanna do it with the best one.

I think that it sounds like some kind of in game music, but it is good, well done!

I always thought that Ubuntu was weak on the application front until hearing this song and realizing that I need to get away from the FL Studio and Pro Tools for a bit and expand my mind.

linux isn't the best platform to make music and i say this with 3 years music experience and 2 year linux experience (but just one year more than only ubuntu :D)
anyways you cant expect to win with minimal linux tools against windows or mac osx tools like cubase or fl studio. but it is astounding what kinda things you can pull with such minimal tools. if youve got free time just try this kinds of software but dont expect to be pro with it.

@music4linux Hi, I am also thinking about switching to slack, howw is the repo, are there also many programs around there? How does slackware behave, and I must ask why did you change to slackware? I want to do this step, to try out something new, and to see what is the difference between this relatively new linux OS and an age old Slackware (meaning it is one of the first linux os-es, i think actually the second, first seeing light in the early '90)

i still use Ubuntustudio, I like it.

it sounds industrial-electrical-pop. Keep at it and you can only go up.

Oh ok haha. Thanks
Do you know if Ubuntu Studio is any different from normal Ubuntu?
I've heard that they are pretty much the same, except Studio comes with all the best photo/video/music/editing/etc stuff already on it.

That is pretty amazing.... It's easy to see why professional people are moving to Open Source software in all kinds of industries from music to banking to professional TV editing. (The BBC for example edit there TV shows on Linux) Some police forces across Britain and councils use SUSE. and the French government are dependent on Mandriva for most of their computing needs
