Washington (APRIL 15) FOX celebrities were present but poor attendance and a threat marred the Tax Day Tea Party protest staged near the White House. The event, heavily promoted by FOX News and conservative talk radio hosts fell far short of the pre-event hype. Regardless, FOX reporter Rick Jenkins and talk show host Laura Ingraham misrepresented the scope and tone of the event in a FOX News broadcast. MSNBC reported 500 in attendance. My count was 187. There were 226 posts on the official site blog for the DC event but many of those were from the lead organizer. A sparse crowd meant easy access to the stage on every side, not to mention the organizer and TV celebrities from FOX News (how can it be news if its manufactured and promoted?). Later, an incident happened. MSNBC reported that the north lawn of the White House was evacuated because of a package flung at the White House. The package only contained tea bags. To summarize, the DC event was dubbed "The Fizzle in the Drizzle" according to a report by Rachel Maddow and Anna Marie Cox on MSNBC.

  • The so called "tea party" is just a bunch of thugs and mercenaries payed by the Koch Brothers and other UnAmerican entities to distract people from the fact that the extremist conservatives in the USA are trying to steal the people's money to give it to private corporations.

  • @ShameyAwards Instead of aimlessly hitting keys on your keyboard, why don't you study? Tea Party '07.

  • @SlaveTaxPayer No, the Tea Party did not start under Bush. You shouldn't make up stuff.

  • @candiceevans1 Check the date. This video is from April 2009 --not "today." You are a whole year off, and you called the video a lie! ... No wonder Tea Party types are so easily duped by Fox and friends. You gave false witness and owe the videographer/poster an apology not to mention you might want to ask God for forgiveness.

  • @Dewystine, Teachers, firefighters and police officers provide a service. Their product is their service. Do yoou understand?

  • @The442nd Teachers, firefighters, police offers should all not have jobs because they don't produce anything.

  • Sad. I shouldn't be responding to this video, but even the anti-TEA Party people have video that contradict this guys assessment.

  • This guy is a moron. The Tea Party was at the Washington Monument. I know. I was there. Get off your self Troll. You failed.
