Gardaí beating the crap out of elderly people?The intimidation that has gone on down there is absolutely disgraceful - workers being threatened, phoned at night. And the environment, Shell have caused oil leaks into rivers which run into drinking water, covered - European protected - bird nesting areas, have drilled on European protected land without authorisation.

Youre talking about the Corrib gas situation as if you know something about it.

There is about 540 billion euro worth of oil & gas off Mayo, we used to own 50% royalties for all natural resources until Ray Burke (convicted for corruption) & Bertie Ahern (under CONSTANT investigation for corruption) changed those laws. We now have a staggering....... 0, thats right, 0% royalties! I wonder what corporation gave those two muppets the brown envelopes? Maybe Shell?

It will be great as no need to see anymore videos of these complete tossers. Shell will be pay 25% corporation tax. Why were there only 2 applicants for the excavation of the gas if so lucrative? More than 1000 people are employed down there and there will be 150 permanent jobs, not to mention subsidary business directly related to the gas. Also, we might restore our reputation for international investment ruined thanks tossers like Niall with his drug convictions.
