I heard a part of this poem in the movie Equilibrium. You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3bsAuBzz50

And I really liked the tone of it. As far as I know, this is the whole poem. I liked it. And I kept reading it to myself. So I figured I may as well read it to you. I realize there are some weird things going on with the audio. But I had fun. At first I was reading it to myself in a British accent. But then I figured that was quite dumb. So I tried to just read it in my normal voice. But I think a little of that accent still crept in there. Haha. Sorry about that!

Also, if you were listening to the background, you may have heard what you thought was white noise? Or if you really listened, you may have realized it was rain. ^_^ That's a track a friend passed to me called Rain Storm by James Dueck. It's actually 35 minutes long in full. And it's just ambient, HQ rain sounds. Perfect for sleeping! I don't know if you'll be able to find it anywhere else, but if not, fear not! I shall upload it for you if you request it, and post the link in here. :)

I think that's all for now. I mean damn, the description is longer than the actual video. Hahaha.

Anyway, I hope you like it. And I'll probably do more readings from now on, since I've found out that I like it. ^_^ You may even get a whole book sometime!

  • Terrible.

    Absolutely terrible.

Please don't EVER attempt ro recite anymore poetry.

  • @MachidaLyoto Thanks for the feedback.

Interpreting a way to read a poem to get just the right feel is always difficult, don't you think? Oh but wait. You've never read any. You may be an accomplished orator. So if you are, post something! I'd happily watch. And also if you are, why do you feel the need to put down amateurs?

And if you aren't. Please take your baseless, annoying and insulting comments elsewhere. ^_^

  • @Jayelled this was the best come back I've ever read. :)

  • @WarriorWasser I was just trying to be polite. :)

  • @Jayelled I know. Makes me smile and relieved to read different come backs then the ones along the lines of ''GTFO, ass hole, fucktard.'' ...

yours was intelligent and just plain ok, straight to the point and depicting the truth. That is what I meant. Short yet beautiful poem.

  • This is exactly how I imagined it would sound! Perfect!!

  • Beautiful recital.
