how to make ringtones for iphone (windows vista only)

i messed up at the 4 minit mark look at this video to find out hoew to fix what i did:

READ DESCRIPTION
MAKE SURE THE SONG IS ON YOUR DEVICE AND IT SHOULD THEN BE IN M4A FORMAT ALSO DOESN'T WORK ON NORMAL PHONES
step by step guide:
step 1: chose a song
step 2: right click and go to get options
step 3: copy the stop time then change the stop time to 40 seconds or less then click OK
step 4: right click and go to create AAC version then copy this into a folder (make sure you keep it somewhere on your computer) after you can delete the one in the music library of iTunes
step 5:rename the file to (song name). M4r from (song name).M4a
step 6: drag the renamed file into your iTunes library and your done
works on ipod touch 4th gen ,ipad 2 and anyb iphone

it still says its a m4a file can figure out how to change it to a m4r

I don't get it when i go to the part where it's in a another folder it doesn't show the file type just the name
