SOP seems to be.. When whatever they arrested you for was not illegal, lie and hide evidence. I have been in similar situation with law enforcement in MS.

@MrAlpruitt Encrypting data does not make it hard to erase. It just makes it impossible to read. A lot of times deleted data can be recovered or it can be fed live to a database where it can be retrieved later.
