Tips for the next time you try out. As far as I know, The Character of Cy is a male. When a character is a male and the actual performer is a female, that poses a big obstacle. Try working on being more "guy-like". I know many females who have done this and they did it very well, so it is very possible!
Take what you learned from this tryout and take it to your next one. Give it all you have! Being a mascot is NOT easy as many people think.
If you really want it, you can do it! GOOD LUCK!

I tried out for Mascot at my school, and I made it. The skits good, but I think you need to be moving more, have more energy :) Mascots are supposed to make the crowd wild and crazy, and pump them up even when they're down or unwilling. With the heat and the need to exaggerate every move, being a mascot is very difficult, something that a lot of people underestimate, but I'm sure that you can do it, because you have it in you, you just need to let the judges know that's it there.

major thanks to my brother for putting together the sweet guitar and vocal at the beginning of my skit.
thanks also to chelsie for mixing the songs to make my music, and gina for helping me put together my skit and practice.
