Yeah I was hoping to get a Redback when I could save up the money :] I'm thinking of maybe going second hand.. But I'd -love- a brand new one. Yeah I heard he stopped operating at Murwillumbah which sucks.. It was amazing that we had a flying school there! I love flying around the area there really early in the morning.. It's just so calm, and the view is spectacular! I miss it so much, thinking about it makes me homesick ;)

Thanks, I was only in Mur'bah 2 weeks ago. Mum just told me they used or use to use it for crop dusting and its near the racing track.

Oh man. I was born in, and grew up in Murwillumbah and I used to take flying lessons with Scenic Rim Aviation at the airfield there! Man.. I've moved down to Melbourne now for college, and I can't afford to fly anymore. I -really- miss it.. As soon as I can I want to regain my license, and buy a trike. (I used to learn in a 3-axis plane)
Nice video! Reminds me of home :]

Howdy Kowai03. I know how you feel in both respects. I ran out of money doing my PPL at age 18 as a computer science student, and returned to Ultralighing 10 years later instead. Thanks for your comments, my approach was nice and high but I know the area well now. I just love flying around the northern rivers area. Mark from Scenic Rim now only operates out of Boonah further to the North. Good luck with your trike, have a look at the redback and outback from Airborne.

Howdy Dee,
I live about 15 mins away in Bilambil Heights, is a country airstrip, not registered in ERSA. No lights but a nice place to fly from. The closest main airstrip is Coolangatta in Qld about 25 mins drive away. It has lights and is also a international airport.
Regards
Brook.
