I don't think it was meant to be an affront to Irish people...and there are a few of us here in America who know our past, or are trying to. It was our past that brought us here to begin with. There are more people claiming Irish blood in the United States than in all of Ireland, like it or not. I am trying to learn Galgeh on my own. So far I've learned to say I love you, follow your heart, and kiss my ass. It is extremely difficult though. Our phonemes are very different in English.
