In this video I throw my Blue Hammer--one of the greatest bowling balls ever made. This legend has helped me conquer tough, dryer conditions but also still has enough guts to hold its own on medium oil too. It's amazing how great this ball is even today. Yet another great example of a good urethane ball. Your arsenal should never be without one!

Had a better camera for this one too. Anyways, the song is 'Walking Bye' by MxPx.

Thanks for watching! :D

  • I have an original blue Hammer and a Lane #1 Liberator (circa 2007 urethane ball), and the Hammer hits harder. Surprised the heck out of me, but that's how good the original Hammers are. Seems to be a resurgence in the popularity of urethane...I wonder how long it'll be under Hammer comes out with another.

  • @themrfreeze07, yeah! You gotta love the hammers. They're great. That's why I filmed this vid in the first place. I wanted to pay homage to a great bowling classic that is still a good piece today.

  • lol wow. keep chucking the ball and then flapping your arm like you're something special. fail.

  • @Taz86, the double follow-through was a technique taught by my PBA-registered coach. I agree, it looks funny but he taught me to do that for a more consistent arm swing.

  • Fast forward to :50 to see this guy finally throw the ball. Oh and make sure you keep the mute on. You're welcome

  • my taboo is 10 times better, see my channel for me pwning with it

  • @MadcatSowega did he also teach you to chuck the ball 20 feet in the air, 10 feet down lane? i think not....

  • @swagelock11, What I mean by flattening the hand is taking all rotation out of the bowl. You do this by straightening your hand and throwing the ball end over end. This way, there is no rotation to drive the ball right (or left, in the righty's situation) and even the most aggressive balls can be used for your corner pin spares. I am absolutely not equating the Blue Hammer to a Gyro. The Blue Hammer is a great strike ball.

  • That said, I never claimed, in this video, to be an amazing bowler or have perfect form. Few people really do. I am always learning and reforming my form as I continue to bowl, however. I do agree, however, that the camera quality is terrible. The camera I had back when I filmed this was crap and the video quality is not good.

  • @zxD3athxz, I expect comments like this because this is YouTube and it's common to see here but I'm going to defend myself a bit. I average 190-200 not simply on easy houseshots but tournament shots, as well. I have bowled successfully in city, state and national tournaments as well as, in the past, the JBT tournaments (junior bowler's tour), winning good scholarship money. I was also asked by my coach to be a part of the bowling team of one of the largest community colleges in the nation.

  • @MadcatSowega

Humor this old blue owner; define "flatten my hand". I have kept my old Ebonite Gyro II for years (hard rubber) for dry conditions and picking up the 10 pin. Now, I read that you are equating the Blue Hammer to my old Gyro II, and trumpeting the "burgundy" as the "strike ball". Please enlighten this old (50) man that doesn't bowl as often as he used to ;)

Do I need to watch eBay for a Burgundy? Thanks!

  • Just won an auction for this ball on ebay,,can't wait to have it drilled.
