A cajon is great and schlagwerk has such great ideas for cajon add-ons, but this is a little bit too much... a cajon trying to be a drumset, mh :-(

Doesnt this just take away from the beautiful simplicity of a cajon? I mean jesus, he has $700 worth of stuff set up.

This is genuinely retarded. Can't think of any setup in which this would be appropriate, let alone better than an ordinary drumkit. Your percussionist seems desperate to come up with anything to play, and I think he's exhausted all possibilities in this kit.
Get this is if you oughta keep your neighbors happy. Or buy a studio with a proper drumkit, which would arguably be cheaper.
