My rosemary just died, I'm not over its departure yet, it's very hard to live. RIP Romarin du coeur.

Rosemary is only hardy to minus ten so not any colder than that!

Rosemary is NOT hardy (will not come back) in a cold climate.

My concern is with the initial care of small rosemary plants in very hot - i.e., tropical - climates. What seems to work for me is to protect them from direct sunlight for a few months, until the plant is at least 9 inches tall. Ideas, anyone?

I live in Alberta, Canada, it gets really cold out here during winter(-50degree from last year 2009). I am a university student, and dont have my own garden. Will it work if I just plant it in a pot(INDOOR) and keep it next to the window where the sunlight is? I will also have a heater on indoor... Thanks!

@tatulover01 You haven't really supported that very well, though. *shrugs*
I'm not here to fight, because that would be silly, but it is rather amusing to me that someone who can't take the time to capitalize or use proper punctuation is accusing America of butchering a language, whereas the American in this conversation is actually being quite respectful toward said language. Just take that into consideration.
Have a great day. :)

@tatulover01 No. Some schools actually do teach FACTS in here, you know.
I'm confused as to why you think it's important to bring up your opinions on how the US speaks English, seeing as it's completely irrelevant. Anyone who speaks proper English in America has not butchered the language. We have different slang, but so do other English-speaking countries. In fact, if you're going to accuse an entire country of butchering the English language, I suggest you spell-check before you do so.

@geegeezlouis86 yeh i do speak french did you just wiki the whole 19th century thing? Well tbh i think the americans have literally butchured the english language .. oh but americans don't speak english , they speak american so totally different language there... so that means i speak 5 languages: English, Bad English, American, French and Spanish ..wohoo
