  • @ContraCommando exactly how it's meant to be.

  • Ah sweet juice of nostalgia!

P.S.: Idky, but everytime I hear this, I think of Anima...

  • Sounds like you in the depths of hell about to get your turn in the torture chamber.

  • @MegaloSaro Nobuo not one of the best composers of all time? Of course its all about preferences.. but all that aside. He is. He is one of the most talanted musicians in gaming. Every track he writes fits the mood and every soundtrack is a journey on its own. And to this day he still can manage to write on original soundtrack after all those years and all those games he worked on.

  • @MegaloSaro I doubt that highly. Never have I heard of them, but I have listened to a few of their songs since I last replied and I'm not THAT impressed. I study music theory and am friends with many composers. People who don't even play the games recognize Nobuo's works. He's inspired many people I know who don't even play games.

I became a Final Fantasy fan long after I became a fan of his work.

  • @Strang3rDanger

Will he be remembered more than say Go Shiina or Shogo Sakai? No. But to say he will be remembered more than Koichi Sugiyama is laughable. Hell, It was Sugiyama who INSPIRED your beloved Uematsu. Sugiyama'a influence is already far outpaced Uematsu's.

  • @MegaloSaro Also, a lot of the reason Final Fantasy is popular is the soundtrack. Thats one of the reasons it is highly praised and its something each installment gets judged on in reviews.

  • @MegaloSaro Although you are entitled to an opinion, your opinion is wrong. He has inspired so many upcoming composers, and will be remembered far more than those other composers you mentioned.

  • @zaggs5 Daisuke Ishiwatari is a good composer for Guilty Gear but try and get Daisuke and Nobou to switch their area of composing and see what you get?

  • Nobuo took a brand new, unventured world and turned it into a pretty good musical creation. Do I like his stuff more than...say...Daisuke Ishiwatari? Not necessarily. Is his stuff better than Shoji Meguro's? At times. Basically, there is a music for every moment of time. Nobuo found his music and his time, but it's not the same as Daisuke's or Shoji's. They're all talented, and they've got things going for them, whether it be best selling titles or genuinely good music, or both. Quit bitching.
