@mizeytizey Marsha was actually covering Teena songs before she passed away. When I saw her in concert, she covers a lot of older songs by Teena, Patti, Mary J., and several other artists.

This makes me so very happy. I've been a Lady Tee fan for a long time. When I first heard Marsha sing even early on Floetry's first single I knew she was also very special and loved her right away. She happened to cover one of Teena's lesser known cuts which means to me that Marsha is not jumping on the Teena bandwagon trying to exploit Teena's legacy to her advantage but sincerely wanted to pay tribute to and amazing song writer, singer and balladeer.
