  • Hi, do remember how they fixed your problem. My X5 is doing the exact thing. Thanks a lot.

  • @matisembuktu corroded connection by amp, but i could be wrong, it was a while ago

  • omg lol buy a 200 dolla deck it will prob have better frequency response then the factory deck right away lol and has anyone noticed how this man seems to not articulate his speach very well lol like there is a lot of thougth involved in just simply talking? lol....srry i cant stand stupid ppl lol buck up and buy a deck for ur old bmw or if its under warrenty go get it fixed dont post a video saying look at me my radio wont work what should i do lol, that should be easy to figure out lol duhhhhh

  • @gz2g0k Your dumb. Just so you know there was a corroded connection that was shorting it out. The bmw dealership requires that they visually see the problem, and are an hour away. They view this video and fixed the vehicle free of charge.

  • Putting it on some rap music would do it! Put it on a hip-hop station then your radio would work perfect. It just don't like your choice of music

  • Net profit $80, but that was used up buying wire, solder, shrink tube, and the steering wheel interface and the face plate. Probably came out a few bucks ahead, still. See link above for pix. Works 1000X better than BMW stock!

  • There are five modules, the bordmonitor, the "radio" module under the spare tire, the CD changer, the CD or DVD ROM for the maps, and the H-K amplifer. Water getting into the spare tire compartment will short out the "radio" module. It is very expensive to replace and after a decade, the whole thing is obsolete. I went Pioneer and never looked back. Only downside is I can't reset the fuel consumption computer anymore. But on the other hand it has a 80GB MP# player and plays DVDs!

  • The best way to fix this is to tear it all out and buy a Pioneer. I have a 2002 X5 and I removed the factory nav system and sold the components on eBay for over $560. I bought a Pioneer AVIC Z2 on eBay for $480. Net profit, $60. Bluetooth, iPod interface, better nav, voice commands, even a steering wheel control interface.
