This one goes out to BowlingBallOut who posted a question about a sticky throttle on his Saturn. It was a great question so I decided to make this video in response to it. There are many different configurations of throttle assemblies but for the most part if you have a throttle that is sticking you might be able to fix it using the procedures in this video. I am aware you may not able to purchase spray throttle cleaner in some states now but I'm sure they have some alternative available at your local parts store.

  • A dirty battery terminal will cause alternator failure, computer and sensor failure and it can also build corrosion on your starter brushes causing a slow dragging starter that ends up failing prematurely! Nice video!

  • @darren8773 You too? Cleaned it regardelss... Works good 2 years later...

  • Stay Dirty!!!

  • Stay Dirty!!!

  • On my throttle housing it says do not clean ...it's as a special coating inside the throttle body DO NOT CLEAN....puma Vct ...

  • why is oil leaking into carborator on my craftman chainsaw

  • you should note that some cars and especially newer cars have electronically controlled throttle bodys that you might break or run into problems if you dont know what your doing. Usually you turn the car to ON and hold the gas all the way as you turn it back to OFF so the butterfly is left open and you dont have to move it yourself and throw the calibration out of whack

  • how about replacing that battery terminal... shit be Green!!

  • that rubber snorkel is called an intake boot...

  • We still have aerosal TB cleaners in Kalifornia, but the formulations change from time to time as the CARB idiots change the rules. Cracks me up, they will make the formulation a little weaker & then you need to use a couple of bottles of the weak stuff to do the job instead of a couple of squirts of the old stuff that worked right away. Net, more "pollution" goes into the air.

    Good video.
