The Columbia, Ste Claire stopped running Sept 2,1991. It's sad that we lost the island but the boat's are still around but in sad shape.

Yes, I remember BOBLO ISLAND as a kid. It was one of a kind, especially the boat ride to and from the island. Thank you for the video, though it's kind've spooky, it does bring back memories of "WHAT WAS!"

too many porch monkees and other low life in detroit used this place... their skummy ways were not enough to keep this alive. God bless this system only being for the wealthy... that is what makes america great... keeping out the lowlife and near do wells. Only the upper crust of society should have access to this place. Yes that is true. A lot cost $1,000,000. You have to take a ferry to get to the Island. It is very erie to see this.

Thanks for posting. I went on the Belle Cruise last week and I saw this. I didn't go to Cedar point. I went to Boblo Island. I loved the boat ride the best of all.

Yeah that would be really cool to see someone walk up there and take some photos. I wonder if the train track is still there to for the 2 trains that were running.

Yeah I plan on going back and snooping around on shore but it seemd every weekend I have something else going on. There are a bunch of new mansion like houses on the north end of the island and the south end has a small playland on the beach. You can drive your boat up to it. The sight tower is still there (seen in the video) and there is also an abandoned light house tower. I'll post new stuff whenever I can get back there.
