I now understand why fennecs are so hyper. They need to act that way to hunt north african desert scorpions which, I should note, are pretty venomous.

Another thing... I too wouldn't be able to distinguish between a Swede from a Norwegian/Swiss but I can easily tell the difference between an English person from a Turk because the distance between Saudi and Algeria is over 4000 km and the phenotype and language are very different

I wasn't offended.. just a bit shocked because the persone who wrote the comment (he removed it now) is from Saudi Arabia and would surely recognize his own accent .. Furthermore they have no Fennecs in Saudi but they have the arabian fox that is at least 3 times the size of Fennec and lacks those distinctive huge ears :)

I'm not French, just a wanna be. My concern is that people will want them as pets because they are cute & then abandon them when they realize how much care they need. I am a fan of animals w big ears. I have a chiweenie, Riley ( on YouTube) who has fabulous big ears but small compared to this guys!

No, it would suck if the world had no more scorpions. Future generations would say, "Boy! I wish that I could see one in the zoo or something."

Kind of like how we are now with the Dodo bird or Tasmanian Tiger. I REALLY WANT TO SEE A TASMANIAN TIGER. But, they're all dead! :'(

But, with Rattlesnakes, you wouldn't eat the poison glands, right?

That fox started eating the scorpion from its tail. It's like starting from the snakes mouth if you were to eat a snake!

Madam Poulet: Adding to what I said earlier. I live in Texas, and looked up that Fennec Foxes aren't considered to be "dangerous animals" so could be kept as pets. HOWEVER, in some cities they're banned within city limits.

You seem like you're French, so their laws might be similar. It might be possible to own one if you live in the country, but the cities will ban you from keeping them.
