Well, Marty's Catholic and always has been. I don't know how seriously he takes it, but he's always been honest and supportive and a hard worker, and I'd like to think that at least some of that is informed by Christian beliefs.

Personally, if someone came up to me and asked me that same question, I'd be a little thrown. Generally that kind of think is a lead in to "Please join my cult."

@nize14n but doesnt someone have to teach them the word and how to study and read it? and also those of us who do are to be walking in a manner that reflects what we read and talk about so they will see us in a light not so pushy Jesus never pushed ppl on him so why should we do the same

I think the reason the question throws them, is because celebrities go through dozens of interviewers at every event, and most of them just keep asking the same questions over and over again. So the stars are almost answering them half-asleep. When someone asks a different question from what everyone else is asking, it's almost like waking up a sleepwalker. It disorients them.

I've watched a few of these now. It's interesting to see that most of the celebrities asked have nothing interesting to say. They are our role models yet they seem to lead such empty lives. The question throws most of them. Probably something they have never been asked or thought of. Sad really.

Most of the Hollywood stars don't know what to say. Hearing questions about God and their relationship with Him drives them away. Because they've been very busy and don't give time on studying and knowing the Lord. That is why words about "spiritual life" is foreign because they are not experiencing a personal relation in God. What about life after death?
