How long to soak the seeds depends on the type of seeds. These were alfalfa. Other seeds may require more or less soaking time.

Why put purified water in if your going to rinse them out with tap water. That doesn't make sense.

@irrah77 Alfalfa doesn't cause Lupus, but it may cause flareups in people who already have Lupus.

Thank you sir, that's just what I needed. Perfect. Reading different sources online gives you different information in regard to light, soak and watering. I was using a spouting bag, but im gong to switch to the jar method and cover them with a towel. The only variation is the soak time. Some say over night, others say 3-4 hours. My instructions say 4 hours, so i'll stick with that. Thanks again, i'm clear after watch that.

Make sure you eat alfalfa sprouts sparingly.. It has L-canavanine which has known to induce Lupus if eaten too much.
