Flew my twinstar first time yesterday. No problem with stock motors on 2000 Lipo setup.
I ran in the motors for several hours on 1.5volt cells very slowly before installing in airplane. It makes loads of difference as the brushes bed in properly . Less sparking and more power.

why did't u use the rudder?

my bad, im not criticizing your piloting skills, I actually just crashed my recently purchased twinstar 3 times in a row. Im running a 2300maH lipo, but the stock motor prop configuration seem weak as all hell for the size and weight of this aircraft. I went out to get the Easystar and the same, I ordered brushless and a 3 blade 6x4 prop for the Easystar, but I don't think the twinstar2 is cut out for flying out of the box.

Hi guys----you need really robust planes...happy landings
lol way to go. Why would you take a basic twinstar to the beach with insane wind speeds, those puny stock motors and props can't hang with that. Also, why would you fly all your valuable electrical equipment over corrosive salt water on you're maiden flight? You were asking for it.

It crashed because the ailerons were coupled the wrong way, it had nothing to do with wind speed or brine. The video tells you at the end.
