With the upcoming elections we see a spree of promotion campaigns targeted at deluding the Muslims into voting for kufr (non-Islamic) organisations. MP's will turn up to the mosques to talk about issues that effect the Muslims, the streets will be littered with posters, campaigners will knock at your doors...etc. all in favour of winning your vote. You ask yourself, will a Muslim MP make a change for the better? Is it more beneficial to have a Muslim MP as opposed to any other? Is it allowed for me to vote for the Labour, Conservative, Liberal party or Respect who are all based upon kufr principles? These Kufr parties have never hesitated in the killing of thousands of Muslims all over the world, what are we really promoting Islam or kufr ?

Islam provides us with a source of reference (i.e. the Shari'ah ) to rule and regulate all aspects of our lives. It is therefore incumbent upon us to refer to this source ( Shari'ah ) in order to answer the question about participating in these elections. Allah (swt) states in the Qur'an;

"And whosoever follows or looks for a way other than Islam, Allah will never accept his deeds and he will be in the hereafter among those who have failed"[EMQ 3:85]
We must remember that our Imaan (belief) is based on At-Tawheed (Islamic monotheism) which means obeying, following, worshipping and elevating Almighty Allah (SWT) exclusively, without associating anything with Him or His attributes. Associating anything with Allah (swt) or with any of His attributes is an act of Shirk (polytheism) which takes a person outside the fold of Islam, this is why At-Tawheed is the fundamental pillar of Islam.

One of the attributes of Allah (SWT) is that He is the sole Legislator and the Commander and He has the absolute right and power to command and legislate, and no one shares this absolute power with Him. For Allah (SWT) says:

"Verily the absolute right of legislating is for none but Allah (SWT)" [EMQ 12:40 ]

"Have you not seen those who declare that they believe in the revelations that have come to you and to those before you? Their real wish is to resort together for judgment in their disputes to the Taghoot (non-Islam) though they were ordered to reject it. But satan's wish is to lead them astray far away (from the truth)" [EMQ 4:60]

Oh Muslims , take heed of the examples of the Messenger (saw) and his companions (ra), they were firm against the disbelievers, they upheld their belief and values, they never allied with the kuffar , they never supported them nor aimed to achieve any short term/temporary benefits, nor did they compromise their belief. Rather they spoke out against the corruption of the kufr system, they highlighted the fallacies and flaws within the society and attacked the very basis of it, providing them with an alternative way of life, Islam. They suffered pain and hardship because of their adherence to Islam and refused to bow down to the law of the land or that of any other legislator, except Allah (swt).

Oh Muslims do not compromise your Deen , do not accept, support nor promote anything that is not from Islam. Remain steadfast, do not fall into the trap of the kuffar , rather adhere only to the command of Allah (swt) and his Messenger Muhammad (saw).

Cowards - try doing these protest in muslim countries (where muslims are killing muslims) or UAE, a Muslim majority country, where drinking is allowed (those arabs will whip all your asses, jail you and throw you out of the country even before you have those signs made)
