A video of our duck, Jonathan "Flip-Flip" Weber, who was hatched on our shoe shelf by our Chicken "Chuddles" along with a chick. Chuddles would not care for the duckling (only the chick "Fiyero") so he was adopted by the family. He even would go out on our boat with us. He would go swimming in the lake with my little sister (who he thought was his mother) and then hop back into the boat with her. He was so cute!

  • soooooooo cute isn't clorine bad for the ducky?

  • We use a mineral pack to clean the pool so it doesn't have as much chlorine as most pools... :)

  • Omg... can u help me? I`m hatching a duck egg and no how 2 do every thing but i dont no what 2 feed it or when 2 start feeding it... my egg is about 1 week in development... please help me

  • You don't want to feed him until 24 hours after he has hatched. He will have enough nutrients from the yolk sac at that point. Then you can feed him some sort of "starter crumbs" that you generally buy at an animal feed store. I believe the kind we bought was called "start and grow." The people at the feed store should be able to help you. Good luck!!!

  • chickens cant give birth to duck wth

  • The duckling's mother abandoned its nest so we were able to put the egg in our chicken's nest and she sat on the egg along with her chicken eggs. We then removed the duckling when it was hatching.

  • I've had hundreds of ducks over the years, and hatched another 300 or so that I sold.

Join Poultryconnection forum, lots to learn

    A) Do not let ducklings swim in pools, the chlorine is horrible for them and they can die from that alone

    B) You helped that one out of the egg and it looked very dry in the beginning. Helping is 80% fatal without lots of experience, and also should be done little bits at a time. The bird should not be that dry. In the future leave it in a moist warm area.

  • -1 for disproportionately dramatic music, +1 because it's a duck.

  • I eat duck

  • was? :'( what happened?

  • Super video

  • There should be a limit to sweet endearing fluffiness on YouTube. If there was a limit, you far exceeded it with this sweet little duck.

  • Is it a little cheesy when the pet dog or cat you've owned for over ten years has passed away?

  • i speak for all of us when i say

    n'aaaaw

  • did your duck die? :(

  • what type of duck is it? :]
