US - Vietnam War
This is a short video I put on here in tribute to my Brother, Willie Dale Mouser.

Me, my Mom and my brother Willie watched this movie back in 1986, at my house. I have it on VHS and DVD.
I wanted them so badly to see it. We all 3 sat and cried throughout the whole thing. We were all thinking the same thing. Had it not been for the damn Vietnam War, my dear brother would have turned out to be a completely different person. He did two tours in that hell hole. He went over there as a country kid, and came back as... well, lets just say he had changed a lot. Willie died in 1996.
I miss you Dearly Willie,
Your Loving Brother,
Sid.......

I fought in a very difrent war from the one these men did, when you get there you might 19 or 20 but when you leave you may as well be 100, thats how you feel.

You leave your youth behind along with a few freinds. If you haven't served then you realy dont know just how easy you have it. Even if you don't know him, but you know he's a vet shake his hand and say thank you. He did more for you than anyone you'll ever know !

I so agree with you. Thanks for commenting, and thanks for your service.

  • Great post, I think too many people forget the things that should be rememberd. The youth now days complain about hard they have it, forgetting that most of the boys in Vietnam were 19 or 20 years. I was the lucky one. in 1968 I was drafted, but spent my time in Okinawa (M.P.) most of my friends were in Vietnam. Your post brought several tears to my eyes, but we all need to remember now and then. Thanks again. (895th M.P. Co.) 1968-1970.

  • @nozrydr1 @nozrydr1 Thanks for your nice comment.

Once you go through something like that, it seems like the rest of your life would be all Gravy. But my late brother Willie could not get the horrible things in his memory suppressed. He died in 1996, but really he died in a firefight in Vietnam in 1970. The memory of what happened over there consumed him.

RIP Willie, I hope you finally found the peace of mind that you were searching for.

  • Makes me sad. Especially because people will forget. I'm 28 and will propably never fully understand what people had to go through...all I can do is try. 5 stars.

  • Jabo,

Thanks for dropping by and commenting. I wish all young men and women your age thought like you. Regards, Hayseed.

  • @hamzah336

Vietnamese actually fought for independence, not for communist. It is reason why we fought French, USA, and China all for independence of Vietnam,

  • @BAIYUE1 oh thx i really wanted to know

  • @hamzah336

Now we are independent country, peaceful, and developing

  • @hamzah336

    Has many reason!

With Vietnamese( I'm Vietnamese), we want independence and freedom

With USA they want agaisnt communist, and take benefit from war.

USA lost, because Vietnamese will fight to the end people to gain independence.
