intellect is something different. you can be very intellectual but cannot write lyrics for crap. sometimes the simplest lyrics are better. astrophysicists are very intellectual but they can't write poetry...
music is the least intellectual of pursuits I think - it's almost all about emotion.

@zarni000 for me, the intellectual aspect IS the greatest "emotion". again, i'm speaking for myself. songs that mean the most to me are the ones with intelligent lyrics, because of how they affect me.
nobody beats british artists in the intellectual department.
she says she produces for the heart / emotion and that's all good ... says she doesn't need words ... yet she's an excellent lyricist.

she means it's more about emotion than intellect. you cannot have a good song only based on intellect.
