Yes I know. I've watched it several times and it's still pretty good till this day. I like the remakes a bit for the graphics but not the story as it's quite different.
Also, reread your post. Now I agree with you on what you've said, but I also stick to my position that what it states is quite meaningless. It has no value whatsoever other than that it's quite a story that's been told and entertaining. 't was an awesome psychological drama but that's it. At least for me it was.

How dare you, peacefull and meaningless? Did you even watch the show and the movie ending? Everyone died in an overbearing Ecstasy when they're spirits released from their bodies. It was the rebirth of humanity through recreating gods acts, being forced back into the chamber of gaf, the point was to defile gods judgement, by putting Shinji in adams place

Meeeeemoriiieees... I always loved this AMV, this song and this series of Evangelion. Especially the end, it's quite peaceful and meaningless. From violence into a void and being at peace.
