I just try it. Sorry, but the arc is very-very bright, so my camera cant record it normally. I try next time with 4 mots and 16 mocs (OMG)

  • mmmm nice sound zzzzmmmzmzmzzzzmzmzzzzmzmm 60 hz

  • 50Hz.

  • I always love resonant arcs. I am surprised it wirked so well for you with just 2 mots and 4 caps, most times the arc is unstable.

BTW you need just 8 mocs for 4 mots (or 12 mocs if you want extra-large arcs).

  • Well, yes, 8 mocs are enough. I tried the 2 mot with 6 caps, and the arcs were so brighty, the camera cant record it, only a big white light. Next time I try to connect the two mots in parallel, then it gives extremly bright arcs. I need a big welding shield ...

    Quick question

I have a MOT and ive been playing around with it for a while now

I was thinking of turning it into a high current transformer via thicker wire, but i looked at the insulation around the secondary and primary coils, it looks like cardboard but also looks something like asbestos, can you confirm which material it is or if they ever used asbestos in these kinds of things?

Oh yeah, it looks the same as any other MOT

  • use 6 or 8 moc's

  • shit is bright

  • lol get that shit straight!
