Thanks for posting this! I've never seen this classic Rockettes routine done in full before.....this made my Thanksgiving Day complete! Hope to be able to go to NYC one day and see this performance in person. The dancers are brilliant at the end!

These gals are the tops! Think of thousands that have tried out to be a RCR...this pretty select group. Then the hours it took those that were selected to be part of the RCR have MORE hours added to keep them a RCR.

oy the fall! so much harder than it looks. you can't really see it, but the entire line of girls is pushing forward to counter the weight that's falling back so everyone stays in their spot. lots of arm strength&trust and when we'd do it several times in one rehearsal, you wouldn't be able to move your arms to brush your teeth the next day! they have it down to a science. wonderful and it never gets old. thanks for posting!

@MilfordTPAG it isn't prerecorded music at all. the orchestra is live and the rockettes lip sync to the live singing, done by the hired female singers. (you try dancing and singing at the same time...) when i was a rockette there were microphones on the bottom of the stage and near the wings to capture the tap sounds (even though now i believe they're recorded although the girls still wear tap shoes)

The one and only reason why you shouldn't: It's all PRERECORDED MUSIC. Even the vocals. You're paying $90+ to see a bunch of lip syncing and stuff . i admit the girls are hot but it's NOT worth the money.
