Teitur Lassen is afkomstig van de Faeröer Eilanden en is de belichaming van de ouderwetse singer-songwriter. Hij debuteerde in 2003 met Poetry & Aeroplanes, een album dat het vooral bij de critici goed deed. Hij maakte vervolgens nog drie albums, waarop hij afwisselend in het Engels en in zijn moedertaal zingt, en werd langzaam maar zeker bij een groter publiek bekend.

@desmurfenzijnblauw Why it is important to mention that the bald guy is gay? In my opinion in life so in music the most important thing is to enjoy beauty and yourself as as a human being apart from the fact that you cloth different from what is accepted. Why is ons lontje zo kort om niet te kijken naar deze mooie man die introvert geniet van deze muziek? Wat is er mis mee dat ik overtuigd hetero ben en val op vrouwen? Haar dikke buik heeft ook wel een reden maar waarom zou ik dat vermelden?
