The original "Best of German" video was featuring a "girl who wouldn't blink". We had a lot of fun commenting it.

I had to take this video out. But many people who actually used it for leaning purposes protested: so we made a remake. I hope you'll like.

i'm only beginning to learn german, so i cannot really tell accent from accent. however, in comparison to the girl, the guy appears to slur his words more often? is this a correct observation?

yes, it is :) I kept asking him to speak more clearly but this is the way he would always speak.

@cinephilist I find that interesting. The girl speaks very clearly, of course for the purpose of learning the language. Germans usually don't speak that clear, just like native English speakers don't speak "Oxford English" all the tiome. The boy gives you much better impression of what German sounds in everyday life, so it's nice to have to examples.

I really like the fact that he's more natural. You get a good idea of the proper way to pronounce something at a speed that's good for learning, then you get to here how it will be said when you actually need to speak it. It was very helpful for me.

@cinephilist Slurring his words? He just didn't realise that he had to speak a bit more clearly because of the fact that this is an educational video. Otherwise, he was just speaking normally, as if he were speaking to someone; that's the beauty of speaking a language fluently, isn't it? You don't have to think about what you say; you just say it. Good luck with your German ;)
