The simple point is this..... the Australians were very brave....

war is war, in the end no one wins, this would have to be one of the best endings a film could ask for, have to do a damn english speech on it -_- but the gallipoli campaign was said to be a failure, but in this light it truly showed what being an australian is all about, bravery, strength, mateship, these men will not be forgotten and australia wouldn't be such a great nation without them

@allyxo1 It's a shame that you deplore racism by using an equally tasteless slur. Still, I agree that trying to win an argument on here is not only impossible, it's moronic.

Beautifully stark movie!

This would make me ashamed to be British if I was even remotely
concerned with such bollocks.

@kitkatkristy33 BAHAHA yes! there was like silence for a second then someone said, 'did you pause it miss?' XD

@CullenClanGirl Haha xD We thought the ending was crap and a few people said "Is that it?"
-
@kitkatkristy33 yeah we just finished watching it yesterday, every one was screaming "RUN YOU BLOODY IDIOT RUN!" when the guy was trying to tell them to stop the attack. not a single person didnt have a tear in their eye....

@dengeist i think him being weaponless is a symbol of how hopeless it all was.
I hate racism and pointless arguments over youtube. No on gets anywhere, and in the end we all get upset over someone else's comment. I hate to use this saying, and I mean no offence to anyone, but 'online fighting is like the special olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded'. I hate to see comments being racist to those who were in the Gallipoli war - they were all incredibly brave, and anyone who says different should put themselves in that position to see how they handle.
