what were the light conditions this day? i'm considering getting the same combination that you have but i'm afraid the lens won't be good enough for low light sports photography

You can trick the camera and obtain some good result,D90 is very good for video too..

I have the D90 and the Video is very poor if you want HD Quality ! The D90 is one of the best for taken photos but not Video :)

Hi, i am using D90 too, it is a very good function! you may use AE-L when you take the video, it will not sudden change the bright / dark during the video, cheers!
