Die by the Sword - Arena 1

"Die by the Sword" is a 3D action game published by Interplay in 1998. The VSIM technology allows you to swing the weapon as same as you move your mouse. For example, when you move the mouse from right to left, the charactor swings his arm from right to left. You can also choose keypad or joystick.

Another big feature is the in-game physics. If you try to hit the opponent hard, you must move your body reasonablly. Jump and chop, spin and swing, etc. Sometimes it occurs that the limb, even the head, is severed by a heavy blow.

At the start, this game is difficult even to attack. But if you can handle your sword well enough, it's possibel to parry the attacks with your reliable weapon. You can guard with the shield, too. And game play goes a real swordfight.

Still play this once in a while for kicks. The VSIM combat shit took a while to get used to, but boy could you die laughing with all the weird crap you can do. Picking up the head or limb and beating the shit outta the other baddies with it, using the SAME degree of control of your sword is hilarious. If this gets you going, try DEATHTRAP DUNGEON for the P.c. it is pretty obscure, think splinter cell mixed with die bye the sword.

@Yourebuying What's a muppet ? Anyway if you like this game check Draconus for dreamcast its essentially part 2 of this. Im playing it as i type this. Dont have a Dreamcast missing out you probably can buy one online and this game for less than 40 bucks...
