Darkwood Macerson 12.2.11 Royal Leisure- 2ft3

HQ pleaseee! Ahh he was such a good po! Still strong, but a friend of ours is lending us her 3 ring to try and were getting him a martingale, so hopefully will have a little more brakes next time!
Although you will probably all be looking at this and being like whaaattt, why do they do a tiny little course like that when they're practising 2'9/3ft at home?
Well the answer is, he needs to slow down a lot! Hence why were doing ickle jumps till I have the issue of speed sorted out :L
But was soso happy with him today, I know it was the best round everrr, but its an acheivement for me and mac, as he has improved so much, and so have I.
Our friend was instructing me today, and really calming me down as I get all flustered/ a mix of nerves and adrenaline going through me! And it helped loads, so shes going to continue to help me, as shes very experienced. So shes doing some gridwork with me this week, to try and slow him down, and fingers crossed next time I post a video, there will be another improvement!
Sadly both jumps of number 12 out in this round, was partly because I all of a sudden thought 'oh yay we've nearly gone clear!' And I let him go to much :L But its taught me for next time, not to think that until ive actually got over the finish line ;)
We also did the class before and just used it as a warm up almost, where we got 4 faults on the second to last jump of the jump off, but that was simply mac being a little bit dopey, I probably did something wrong to, but didn't get it on film sadly!
Will post again soon after half term, as Im going skiing this Friday with school, until the 26th..

aww well done elle, yeaah i can see what you mean about him being strong and going fast into jumps; but you did very well on him. you should feel proud! it's so annoying that your away all half term means i wont be able to see you! <3x

@xlilmizzrobertsx haha yeh bless him, its so annoying as knowing sees his strength until they actually see him in real life! But im glad your one of the few people who can see it! Thank you hun, I am very proud of his improvement, going to make a video this week from the very begining till now, as I haven't noticed until ive looked back on videos to see the improvement of him! I know tell me about it bab :( We should meet up the weekend after I get back though bub <3 xxx

ah yes grid work will work well with mac, i found when i had a few one off lessons with audrey that it made him think more after the first jump, instead of rushing away after landing the first. good luck with him ells, LUCKY ENOUGH I GET TO STILL SEE MY BOY AND MY GAL EVERY WEEKEND loool ;) i'll look after him whilst your away bby g xoxoxoxox ;)
