Martika was really one of the top youth icons in the 80's. She was the best singer of all the casts that ever came on kids incorporated and performing such a vast array of songs at such a young age too!
I think the main reason big success evaded her later was that she didn't have good song writers or musicians from the Record Label she worked with and that was just bad luck. She always had the talent.

Many of Kids Inc's versions of songs were FAR better than the originals. To this day, I can hear a song on the radio and know exactly which episode it was in and who sang lead. The 80's were the BEST decade ever!

All she had was four Top 40 hits...she deserved more than that. :(

For some reason, I like this version better than the original...
Also, the video in high quality = best 80's anything I've heard in my life.
