It took about 40 hours in photoshop cs3.

Wow. I've always admired digital artists who can start with a blank canvas and come up with something amazing like this.
Just wondering, why did u sketch all those different pictures at abt 1:45? Was it to get a feel for drawing that kinda objects, ie the robot drawing helped u conceptualise the suit etc? Just curious. Great job!

It's a feature they added to free transform a couple versions ago. There's a toggle button for 'warp mode' on the right side of the free transform toolbar.

At 2:50 how did you add color like that? Was it a seprerate layer and if so what kind?
