After I discovered something about Maggie Wheeler, I just had to share it with you all. Some of you will know about this, but others may not. I was incredibly shocked, and majorly disappointed! Please feel free to leave comments etc - I'd love to know your thoughts.

  • This girl obviously doesn't understand the concept of actors. That is why we call them actors, it's because they can convincingly play a character part and look and sound different for that part!!!!!

    Btw the accent is Scottish

  • Gosh, this video is so old!

  • I'm going for welsh

  • @WillBloomy Haha there's no Welshness in my voice!

  • Janice Litman is meant to portray the stereotypical Jewish woman originating from Brooklyn, New York. They are typically very loud and dramatic, and their accent is heavily influenced by Yiddish. Believe it or not, but there are actually a lot of people in New York who do genuinely speak like Janice Litman, especially when you go to Jewish neighborhoods.

  • I like your accent. Scottish?

  • @doozer2011

Exactly. There's many more actors/actresses whose characters sound totally different. Examples: Megan Mullally, Karen from Will & Grace. Melissa Rauch, Bernadette from The Big Bang Theory.

  • @TVCriticAmy I didn't mean you, I meant Maggie!

  • @heero7yui Not Jewish, Scottish.

  • @airtexaco Most people think I'm Irish :) I'm actually Scottish though x

  • @doozer2011 Given the fact that I've an agent, I'm fairly sure I know what an actor is! Well done, I am Scottish.

  • @stickybunthrowdown Given the fact that I've an agent and a keen liking to acting, I'm fairly sure I know how it works! You say that, but most actors keep their actual voice unless the role requires a change (such as this time). Having never seen any of her work prior to Janice, how was I to know? Have a bit of respect, yes?
