  • How bad is the done?

  • pointman, these trucks are not that big.

  • i have the same truck. the muffler has a giant rust hole in it. sounds the same!

  • well buddy u just made my mind up, my buddy from cherry bomb told me to go with the vortex and damn ill definately be going with it... its got a nice low growl when its idling i love that!! thanks for the vid!!

  • @countryboy5015 Sorry. I don't login in here much. The inlet pipe to the muffler is 3 ", the outlets on the muffler are 2.5", the tail pipes are 2.5". The tips are 3"x18".

  • @97xlF150 it is the same motor as the V6 stangs except it has a longer stroke to add torque and also to make it rev up slower. 3.8L and 4.2L both have same bore

  • can you tell me what size the pipes are and what kind of tips you have, i have a truck just like this that i want to put the vortex on

  • Just to clear things up, Its my truck, Sprout just helped me with the install. Since this was shot I have added hiflow cats, UDP, AF1 CAI and Troyer tuned for 94 octane. At idle it sounds deeper now that its broken in. As for MPG, there are so many variables but I get better MPG than my dads v8 silverado. As for power this is the same motor as the v6 stangs and I know of some guys making big #s with a v6. Of course weighing in a 4200lbs with me in it the truck aint a rocket but I like it.
