Are you going to help me or will you let me down?
I'm looking for a true love but am I lost or found?
And will we cry in passion or will we cry in pain?
And will our lonely teardrops fill the world with rain?

Help me up, don't you let me down.
I'm gonna wake up in heaven, not the cold, cold ground.

Can't you hear the lovers crying in the night?
They spend their whole lives trying; still can't get it right.
I don't know where we're going but I guess we'll start
And just to show that I mean it, baby here's my heart.

Chorus

Living on my feelings, feelings all I know.
Baby once we touch it, we'll never let it go.

First Verse

Chorus

  • The longevity, scope of music, influence on enumerable of today and yesterdays killer players and virtuosity of Clapton I would say puts him in a very unique place in music...he is timeless. Been listening to him since I was twelve...I'm 57 today!

  • underrated ec song

  • it really dosent matter about the movie or who it came from or what the reason he wrote this song for it stands true in my hart and allways will

  • LA MEJOR MUSICA QUE EXISTE ES DE CLAPTON¡¡¡¡¡¡ ME Fascinaeste soundstrack

  • @oleole52 My point is that the writing, arrangement, and guitar sound on this song seems heavily influenced by Robertson. It's more typically Robertson than typically Clapton.Eric has stated in interviews that it was Robertson's work with Scorcese and his encouragement that convinced him to do the music for Rush.

  • @TheMasterwk what's your point?
