Using a temporary score until a composer can write the original music is a great idea. Just having something in the idea of what you would like to work with in your scene will help to completely visualize the scene before the score is completed and can also help a composer to get an idea of what you are thinking in terms of soundtrack and score.

I like how they talk about how the score comes about.

its interesting how they use a tempt score to get a feel of the film untill a composer can come in and create an original score for the movie, if they choose too. An other interesting point was what the scene is calling for, does it need a full score or focus more on effects and real moment situation in the scene.

Seeing this video makes me think that it must be cool to be the person to help choose the music for movies.

I'm very shocked that there is a huge process that the professionals have to go through to pick who will do the music for the film.

I'm more of an octane genre person myself but its pretty cool to see how the professionals discuss music.
