The latest version of 3D-Coat includes Disney's Ptex technology. This is just a quick video of my playing with it. This model has no UV map but painting on it works very well. You can see basic painting and the tools to increase or decrease local texture resolution.

  • As long as there are no triangles yes, you can. If there are triangles the mesh will need to be subdivided at least once (this makes it all quads)

  • @masterod1 No I don't have one sorry. For some of my other videos it was a huge processes of recording audio with my iPhone and editing them together later.

  • BTW this was just the first version. More features have been added since this video was made and more features are on the way.
