    Hello green,

I use full screened bottom boards. No vent is needed on top. The woven material on the top is flexable and works great. The honey bees propolize the top of the frames which makes it ez to harvest the Propolis.

    Sincerely,

    Jerry Dunbar

  • One time I forgot to smoke on a day when it had been raining earlier. As soon as I removed the top a few swarmed at me and I turned away and got stung twice in the back. I was wearing a dark t-shirt and no protective gear. I was afraid I had some aggressive bees after that experience. My bees are feral and I live in Texas so there is always a chance of Africanized.

  • First time I've seen anyone use a lining cover like that. Tell me more about it.
