@TheCanadianPrairies Very true, unfortunately. I've seen a lot of those Deadliest Catch-spawned shows all over History Channel, Discovery Channel and the Science Channel. I don't know if they're doing so to gain more viewers or what. I found much of what was already on their lineup very intriguing. They should think about education before entertainment. It used to be easy separating the wheat from the chaff, but it's getting harder.
I've got to say Schwartzvald was my favorite. So poetic.

I can't see why this reality TV bullshit is so popular. You know what I find shameful? Quality shows like Joan of Arcadia and King of the HIll are axed just so that reality television, and if it isn't that, and in the case of KOTH, and in my opinion, Seth McFarlane's uninspired trash, can fill the airwaves. We might as well have two channels.
Fox = The McFarlane Network.
The rest of TV = The "Reality" Channel.

You are welcome. I'm always glad to voice my opinions and support like minded people out there. The thing about TLC is that they're doing this all for the money. They tried to continue Jon and Kate after the divorce because they knew that once the Gosselin Empire fell apart, they knew they would have nothing left to fall back on than plagarized shows from A&E - which is also a shitty channel -- the Roloffs (who, like the Duggars and Gosselins, don't deserve TV fame) and etc.

Television is pretty much dead in my opinion. The very few gems (in my opinion) such as House MD are submerged in the bullshit being shoved onto the air waves by TLC, MTV, and even the fucking History Channel. Yes. Even the History Channel is falling into the same formula of reality television worship as TLC and MTV have done.
The Big O is a damn fine show. Good thing the DVDs exist. Also, I can't say why people watch this shit. Same argument with people who read Twilight.
I didn't think Umpa Lumpa until she said it.!
