Oh I totally agree that its bullshit and an infringement on our rights, but we'll never see its practical application. The general population in America isnt that stupid and useless yet. My argument on that is there are much more pressing matters to attend to. Its worrying however and does remind me of a certain failed republic of the past. Ancient Rome anyone? The government has rendered treason unprosecutable. THe 2,700 murder victims will never be righted. Nationhood is a mere abstraction in the hands of personalities purchasable by money or subject to their wilingness to be the next persons to slam planes into world trade centers or wield extraordinary weaponry. They will hire lawyers to provide social lubricant, this will be seen as increasingly irrelevant however. Bullies will simply predominate by gradation.

doesnt matter if PD-51 will be put in motion. the point is that it shouldnt exist. the fact that obama wont do anything about all this unconstitutional legislation tells me everything i need to know. that and the fact that he voted yes on FISA right after bashing bush for warrantless spying.

Congress never declared war, nor did they take any actions against it (which they could). If I'm not mistaken congress hasn't made a declaration of war since WWI... as they considered America at war when japan attacked pearl harbor.

I'm merely stating that the war isn't unconstitutional. Iraq is bullshit, but legal, Afganistan is where we should be, and only there, the Taliban attacked the American people and the government has the responsibility to protect us, which means war on Al Queda.

Currently those that are constitutionalists are considered terrorists as well as supporters for Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr (all presidential candidates 2008) even those that belong to Campaign for liberty. Congress is the only one that can declare war... that was for a reason... so we would not get into wars so easily... how many men have died, father and sons (now women too) have been taken needlessly? Why do you think we are such a divided nation?

PD-51 won't ever be enacted, there are too many armed Americans that won't give up their freedoms. However PD-51 does prove the importance of the second amendment. Americans don't have the right to keep weapons because of culture, or for food, or anything like that. Its because when the time comes to overthrow the government because of corruption the people will be armed and ready. I'm not arguing for or against a party, I'm a registered independent, but I am arguing for the constitution.
